i wasn't paying attention to pop culture at the time so in my head they broke up, he had that lookalike in that one music video where it was implied she cheated, and now we're here, but i know that's not what happened

My least favourite (and I was a major stan at the time, so it wasn't easy to make me criticise him) was during his FS/LS tour which was happening during 2007.

He used to mash up Cry Me a River with a different cover song every night, something still suited to the theme. Which is fine, it's one of his biggest hits and it's not a fresh shot at Britney every single time he performs it... until it was. He was throwing 'Rehab' in there and other shit that was plainly mocking what she was going through and it was shitty even through my stan glasses.

Of course, assuming otherwise is still assuming, but people's readiness to remark on her 'obvious' mental breakdown makes the unwillingness to entertain the idea that this noodle-brained goblin may have coerced her into getting an abortion she probably never wanted to be quite bothersome.
