People around the world have taken to social media and the streets in support of both Palestine and Israel as conflict continues. Since October 7, around 1,300 people have been killed, with 3,400 wounded in the Hamas attack on Israel. Israeli airstrikes have killed around 2,329 Palestinians in Gaza, with 9,714 wounded

What's going on in Gaza is so fucking horrific. The least worst option of everything that is going on and could happen is an ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in Gaza. The very worst option is genocide. As of an hour ago, 2,670 Palestinians have been killed and that's definitely going to be an undercount. 47 whole families in Gaza have been killed, which amounts to around 500 people. Israel has cut off food, water, electricity, fuel, and medical supplies. They've ordered over 1.1 million Palestinians to move from northern Gaza to southern Gaza even though they are still bombing places in southern Gaza and the infrastructure in southern Gaza cannot support the whole population of Gaza. Israel is apparently going to turn on water to the southern portion of Gaza, but so many Palestinians are saying that won't actually do anything because they don't have electricity and they can only really collect water 1-2 days per week. The internet is also being cut off, so once people's phone batteries die, we are going to have no idea what's happening in Gaza aside from what Israel tells the media.
The responses of the US and other western governments has been so fucking atrocious. They are making all of us complicit in a genocide because our tax dollars are going to provide weapons and military funds to Israel. It's only within the past few days that government leaders are starting to show empathy towards Palestinians by saying "don't punish innocent civilians" but they are still letting Israel do whatever they want.
I am so incredibly angry that the only realistic option I have to prevent Trump from being president again is Biden when he is so complicit in the ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians.

In what other circumstance is a foreign country obligated to provide utilities to a place where they know enemy combatants are actively planning its destruction?

This absolute disdain for the actual history of Palestinian people and their lives is so darn chilling.

how disturbingly glib. state and military actors disrupting a region's ability to procure basic human needs, like say potable water, as a punitive or retaliatory measure, the burden of which will be shouldered mostly by a civilian population that includes children, elderly, and disabled groups, should never be considered a sensible or "right" course of action, even in times of war and conflict. it's never not fucked up when governments and political actors attempt to legislate and legitimatize human rights violations on the basis of logic and strategy, and members of the general public don't need to cosign that shit. leave the warhawking and destructive military strategizing to the terrible politicians and heads of state.

By oversomplifying the situation and ignoring some major factors (like colonization for instance) you're not helping your case
If anything, this level of disingenuity will only turn people off
