Goddamn it, I JUST caught up with the first seven episodes.

I hated Stacy like 2 mins into her appearance, but she’s actually decent-ish. Like sure she’s a rich snob, but I LOVED when she told Izzy not to compare her to the mess (or whatever she called Johnie). Izzy confronting Johnie needed to be done, but it was gross how he got off on it. Like.. you’re adults, calm down. Johnie is trash in multiple ways. Lydia is fucking nuts. Uche is… ugh.

I hope Milton escapes and marries someone who truly loves him one day.

Ok, now let me see if my opinions change after episodes 8&9.

But like why exactly does Izzy need to confront Johnnie?

Izzy made his choice. The only person she owed an explanation to was Chris after that whole "she twisted her story" thing between her convos with Izzy/Chris and only because it makes sense for Chris to confront her in some type a way to get a sense of if it made sense to pursue a relationship with her.

I mean it needed to be done for us, lol. I like drama and if I’m gonna keep watching this dumb show, give me ittt!

I can’t tell if Chris is a naive guy or just delusional as fuck. I can see why the girls would fall for her manipulation, but how is he doing it too with so much proof against her? Does he just want to be on tv? I have so many questions for him.

Chris' revelation on the pods (about the rape) and his general attitude make me think he really is just a naive guy who wants to be loved (but don't quote me on that cause I don't trust men lol). That talk about him and Johnie meeting at the airport ~by chance and knowing who they were was fucking bullshit. I bet the producers told Johnie to hit him up so they'd have another story to milk and she gladly took the opportunity. I'm surprised so many people are falling for her doe-eyed act bc Johnie's manipulation is clear as day to me. That woman is unhinged.

Yeah I didn’t believe the meet-cute at all. I sat there with this look on my face 🤨 as they told the story, lmao.

Every time she gets all defensive and then cries I think of every single white Karen who has verbally/physically attacked black people and then turned on the faucet as they called 911. Sure, the show could be editing her that way and I’m falling for THEIR manipulation. But, y’know, that’s why we have gut feelings! I don’t trust her ass.

Doesn't the internet widely hate Johnnie?

I don't think it's falling for an act to say that Izzy/Stacy are out of pocket for how they are acting.

I guess my perspective here is the only person that should judge is Chris because he's the one going into this relationship and should guard himself.

I think it has to do with how Joanie treated Stacy in the pods
Like she was nasty, calling her names, talking about her behind her black just because they liked the dame guy...

I don't blame Stacy for her feelings.

I saw a lot of comments supporting Johnie and saying Izzy made the wrong choice, so Idt she's anywhere near as hated as someone like Jessica from S1, for example. Johnie condescendingly telling Lydia that Uche was "very convincing" speaks volumes about the type of woman she is, so Idt Stacy's fit was unwarranted.

I can't stand Stacy (and the way she talks dragging the words is so fucking annoying) but I honestly love that she's not willing to lower her standards. It's a pretty refreshing stance considering how desperate and deluded so many of the women going on the show usually are.

Oh god her sisters talk the same way and I felt nauseous listening to them.

But, I’m watching her talk with Izzy in episode 8 right now and it’s literally what I would say if my partner acted the way Izzy is, so I’m her #1 supporter rn, lol.

ITA. I feel like people are so annoyed by her general demeanor/voice (rightfully so) that they're completely missing the fact that she's bringing up valid, realistic concerns. She's not there to be Izzy's maid nor to teach him how to be an adult.

The biggest red flag for me about him that I appreciated her response to, is when she called out how he hid his credit/debt and didn't back down when he tried to skirt around it

Yeah that’s what I’m getting from these comments. She’s not very likable, so it’s easy to go against her. But, she’s didn’t say ANYTHING wrong in the talk. When she said she didn’t want to be considered in the same boat as an absolute fucking psycho? Yes, Stacy! Yessss.

Now, she did make fun of him for not traveling and that was not cute. But, that’s a different story from what happened during that fight. She was 100% in the right to tell of Johnnie and give it to Izzy for getting horny at the situation.
