The 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Moungi G. Bawendi, Louis E. Brus, and Alexei I. Ekimov for their work on the discovery and development of quantum dots, nanoparticles so tiny that their size determines their properties. Since I am a STEM dunce, the Literature Prize is what I anticipate the most each year. I can't wait for tomorrow!

As a UC alum it would be a major get if we could get a Nobel Prize (a win for any campus is a win for all ten tbh). It shouldn't be a competition between schools but it's all about the $$$$

Now that I have a tentative understanding of quantum dots thanks to belle_chouette it will be interesting to see its development
