I thought she was already married for some reason.

I love non-white wedding dresses but that one is ugly and I hate the mismatched veil.

Speculating but they got married like a week after they got engaged and I wonder if it's because they knew they were getting married anyway but she was just about to film Furiosa in Australia. It might have been easier for him to come with her if he was her spouse, not her partner?

Most people do have a year long engagement and their ceremony fits within a more typical engagement timeline.
