I think it was two septate events. Donna poisoned Ben, but Ben survived. She didn't want her son's first play be a bomb. Then Tobert pushed Ben. He talked about watching an elephant sink into the mud before it's saved and how he didn't want to be an observer in the future. She hears it as him feeling bad about watching the elephant die and doing nothing, but he was more upset that he lost emotional footage because the baby elephant didn't die. Or he was just pissed he got fired and the argument went too far, which makes more sense but isn't as dramatic.

I did like the line where they're talking about Donna poisoning Ben and then one of them says to get the red herring out of the fridge. That's how I knew it wasn't just Donna.

i totally agree with your predictions! i just knooow tobert is up to something shady. i also think he's working for cinda or something

i think it'd be smart if it's tobert, he felt very present in the middle of the episodes but has been awol for some time... i feel like donna's gonna be their "obvious" murder next episode and whoever pushed him will be the surprise one

Yeah I definitely think it’s two murderers. I totally forgot about Tobert lol, nice theory though. He probably filmed it too.
