After family experiences I definitely believe in ghosts.
I've been so curious about Ouija boards lately. Has anyone ever used one and had anything happen? Or heard about anyone else?

[TW Suicide]

My nan told me not to mess with them and when I asked why she said she used one as a kid. Her friend's sister had died and she apparently came through and said that she had taken her own life. The sister knew this but neither she nor the family wanted it to be known because they went to church and others would frown upon it. The sister started screaming at everyone asking how they had found out and why they were teasing her but my nan swears no one had any idea up until
then.

If contacting spirits was as easy as using a ouija board, we’d have evidence of the afterlife.

I've used a Ouija board. Don't use it.

I won't I swear! Can you share your experience? No worries if not of course ❤️

I don't share the experience because it was bad and I can't explain it without sounding insane. Suffice it to say I thought it was a bunch of hokum until I actually used it.

That's totally understandable I'm sorry you went through that ❤️

They were very big in the counterculture in the early 90s, and I've both heard and seen enough weird stuff to not want to mess with them.

This is so cringey, but when I was a tween my friend and I would use them a lot and she even had a "ghost boyfriend". We went on a skiing trip with our class she asked him to prove that he was "real" and the next morning when we went up in the ski lift there was a heart with her name in the snow below. Other people who didn’t know about our ghost connections saw it too so it wasn’t just us hallucinating! On the same trip we did another ouija session and when my other friend said something out of pocket, the lights went out, but only in our room. I don’t really think much of either incident bc there’s so many rational explanations for them, but it’s a fun story to tell 😂

omg I'm picturing your reactions to the heart I bet you guys were freaking out!!

Oh, it was definitely freaky!! I assume someone was proposing to their girlfriend of the same name or something like that. I think my favorite esoteric encounter was when my mom - who was heavily into this stuff while also being a Catholic - dragged me to a séance and the "medium" told me that they’re scared of me "over there". To this day that’s the best compliment I’ve received! 😂

But yeah, don’t put too much stock into any of this, it’s very easy to freak yourself out and have your mind play tricks on you. I’m a lot more scared of what people are capable of than of any supernatural entity.

Oh also, the last time I shared this story on here someone messaged me asking for help with contacting Robin Williams’ spirit 🙉

Lmao that is a great compliment!
I love how this person could think of noone better to help contact Robin than someone on ONTD kfenkn

Was your friend's name Tina Belcher?

But, on a serious note, I need to know more about this ghost boyfriend. How often did they communicate and how long did the relationship last?

Oh god, we’re not friends anymore, otherwise I’d ask for specifics 😂 It was definitely at least like two years, she knew him before I met her and even had a lock of his hair that he’d given her (????). One time she was scared that she had gotten pregnant because they had sex on a bus. That’s when it got too weird for me, a little spooky-ness is fun but that’s entering delusional territory. I would not be surprised if it was all an elaborate prank though, she catfished a girl in Eastern Europe for years so she definitely wasn’t unfamiliar with going above and beyond to fuck with people.

as a kid i tried one of those like automatic message websites where you ask it a question and they will give you a weird vague answer. one of the answers was "someone is outside watching you right now" and i got freaked out and closed the web browser. and the next day my dads truck got stolen! i was flipping out in my head like oh my god what have i done

creepy coincidence lol
