She's being criticised for it as well, but it sounds like she really didn't think it would get through, the experiment was supposed to be with what happened after it was denied

Nope, watched an interview about this and the state gvt Births, Deaths & Marriages office is meant to go over every single birth certificate to check for things like this.

It is, and it sounds like yet another thing to minimize the idiocy of some parents. The system/workers aren't obligated to make sure you have common sense to not give your own child a shitty name.It's like places that have to turn into childfree spaces bc some parents don't have the common sense to not let the kids run around making a mess.

The conversation around parenting needs to be far more serious than it is so maybe then we will have a smaller amount of idiots procreating and innocent children won't need to deal with the consequences of their poor choices.

Ok but tbf the experiment wasn't meant to be about whether or not it was approved, she was trying to find out what happens when it's denied. She just never thought this name would be accepted based on the guidelines provided.

So maybe it shouldn't be the system's job to enforce common sense, but they're the ones who claimed they would deny certain names and this shows there are parts of the process or guidelines that might need updating.
