The girl has not healed from her own shit. It's just a pattern, and she capes and defends these guys. It's always the rap girls who call themselves "bad bitches."
Semi- off topic, but I was watching stuff from the RHoA, like the feuds with Marlo and every pretty girl she's had beef with like Eva and Kenya. She would always bring their mommy issues and would always fight with the pretty girls who were expecting children and/or were getting married.
I think both Cardi and Nicki have dealt with valid and awful things in their past and present, but I think Cardi has been doing her own work and healing (except the stuff with Offset since I just don't like him for obvious reasons). Cardi has been successful, and she's even supportive of other women's success.
I wonder if Nicki is just overall bitter and filled with hate because both of them came from similar yet different struggles (there's no doubt they have dealt with traumas of their own), and she maybe recognizes that she could have been Cardi had things in life gone better for her or if she did her own inner work. That's just me. I don't think this beef will ever die down. Between Nicki and Lil Kim, it seemed more about professional work, but with her and Cardi, it just seems both professional and personal envy.
