The music video was directed by Aerin Moreno, and opens with a clip of Tate McRae driving around an ice rink on a Zamboni before she begins dancing in a locker room. “I wrote ‘Greedy’ about having the confidence to know what you want,” McRae said in a press release. “I feel like this is the first time where people are seeing a feistier and more playful side of me. This song is so unexpected, and I cannot wait for everyone to hear it.”

McRae co-wrote “Greedy” with Ryan Tedder, Amy Allen, and Jasper Harris.

The song was teased on TikTok leading up to its release, making the song go viral before it even dropped. After one day, it's already no. 14 on the Top 50 Global chart on Spotify with 3.5 million streams and no 11. in the US. Potential hit? Who can never be sure.
