#TIFF: Chris Pine's paranoid noir satire will likely go down as one of the worst films to play at any major festival in recent memory. Read our #Poolman review: https://t.co/cNguYVX5zt

Poolman is screening at TIFF and is getting some of the harshest reactions i have seen in some time

Poolman follows a hapless dreamer and would-be philosopher who spends his days looking after the pool of the Tahitian Tiki apartment block in sunny LA.

"Conspiracies are everywhere in "Poolman," although the greatest mystery might be how anyone involved was attracted to this tidal wave of dire kookiness."

Chris Pine’s directorial debut POOLMAN started as a joke on the WONDER WOMAN 1984 set. Didn’t know what the joke was and couldn’t endure pass the 40-minute mark to find out.

In a way two awful movies came out of WONDER WOMAN 1984. #TIFF23 pic.twitter.com/oZOvhBTXP9

Dammit, #Poolman. I believed in you. Chris Pine fully commits to the bit of a ferocious, civil-minded Angelino who has a water system mystery dropped in his lap. But the story goes nowhere, the energy is erratic, and it never jives. Sad! #TIFF23 pic.twitter.com/kwFHfHYnNz

POOLMAN is far and away the worst film I’ve seen all year. There are zero redeeming qualities about this film and I’m shocked that it exists. Chris Pine thought that having the plot of Eminem’s ‘Stan’ be integrated into this was somehow a good idea, as well as naming characters… pic.twitter.com/nnn4IJPw7V
