I saw post on Tumblr yesterday with fic writers asking readers to not run their fics through this to get an ending for a WIP or different ending than they wrote because reader may not like it. And that sucks that this is something that has to be said.

As someone who writes fanfic at my big age I don't care about someone rewriting things they don't like in my fic - I do the same thing with the source material, the artist is dead, and I use a pseudonym because this is just a fun hobby to me. But as someone at my big age who knows way too much about AI if someone told me they were sticking my work into an AI program to rewrite it I would stop posting my fic forever. It's one thing for a script written by some soulless tech bro to scrape it, but a reader treating my writing as if me and my effort could be adequately replaced by a program is fucking insulting.

I did not realize I had such strong feelings about this but god damn.
