BUT watching your spouse via a ring camera while you’re away seems kind of creepy. I wouldn’t want to be spied on like that.

Plus what did he see? Did she just say something he didn’t like? If he caught her cheating on camera, I’m sure he’d flat out say that. So why the vagueness?

I’m wondering if this is a SEO tactic since the early reports were about him taking off his ring, now this story will pop up in any searches for their name with ring as the key term instead. I never checked for either of them but this has soured me on him

After his team's previous statements that she ~likes to party (while he's so homely and virtuous) and he's the one ~taking care of the kids, I feel like this particular story is trying to insinuate that she's so problematic that he had reason to worry & check in on what's going on at home. And claiming whatever he saw/heard was "the last straw" is like trying to imply she either did drugs (party!) or neglected her children (bad mom!). But they couldn't spell it out because neither is true & would bear serious consequences, yet if they go this vague ring cam route, it's exactly what people will assume and I hate it. This is truly the lowest of the low.

My friend caught her husband cheating on a Ring camera. She wasn't monitoring him. Just checking back through the motion detected recordings that day to see if her package was delivered, and whoops, there's her husband walking in on his lunch break. With the other woman.

Wow, her husband really is an idiot. My dad has a camera inside the house that informs you when you're away and some motion inside the house is detected. You don't even need to be checking all the time, the camera will notify "hey, look!"

I think Ring cameras ping your phone when there's movement & then the recording is saved. So you wouldn't be actively monitoring anything if you wake up to the alert on your phone that there's been activity & see the video

yep, my dad's phone pings all the time when his Ring camera captures motion. half the time it's a bug lol

Yup! I had a ring camera at my old place and it has real time notification for when someone is within a certain distance. You can also have it notify you when it detects movement further away, but if you live anywhere but an empty desert you’re gonna get spammed lol

I still think he’s a dirtbag tho, Ring logistics aside.

I mean my parents are seniors and I stalk the through their ring. It certainly can be creepy, but they also know because sometimes when they're puttering around outside in front of it, I chat with them. But if everyone has access to the account you get a notification when something sets it off, and then you check in real time or later so perhaps that's what happened. he checked it. And then uh oh. Unless it's a secret ring it's not like she doesn't/didn't know it was there.

I could see the vagueness as a - you know what you did kind of thing (if she did anything). Isn't that how Eliza Taylor and he co-star got busted.
