Oh god, TIL Gaspard Ulliel died.

Skiing is something I find terrifying. Motorcycles are fun and a little scary to me, but so fun, but I have literal nightmares about being put in skis and forced to ski down a deadly but tiny slope the size of a stoop.

I will never understand why anyone skis. In Russia (or the indigenous culture I was raised in, which I'm realizing is very different from mainstream Russians, especially ones with any money) we respect nature a ton and are therefore taught to be extremely careful when navigating the terrain and outdoors, as anything can get you sick with a cold which historically has ended in death, and scares the shit out of people, as it still can.

People are taught to know how nature works and the dangers of not respecting the elements because you have little to absolutely no power and your arrogance will have been your downfall. They're intense in teaching you. For real.
