did that story about him and the girl who worked on his play ever get any traction? it's not on the level of a lot of #metoo-adjacent stories about other celebrities that have surfaced over the years and the writer wasn't famous herself, but I'm surprised I never saw it mentioned *ever* outside of ONTD

honestly... that's kind of impressive. yeah he's a good-looking white guy with critical acclaim and an otherwise pretty good reputation, but still. if there was ever a time people were thirsting for his blood, it was then (pretty shortly after ATW10, iirc). I don't even see Swifties on Twitter bringing it up at all ever. I just hope that woman is doing well (she had another article about struggling with vaginismus that I could relate to way too deeply so I feel especially empathetic towards her)

I want a whole thinkpiece on this because now I'm wondering too!! the essay really came out at a perfect time due to ATW10. I think the swifties move on from things very quickly and aren't really interested in taylor's exes beyond their place in her music. I DO think that if taylor herself had said something, highlighted the article in some way, something might have happened - but of course she would never have done that.

yeah if I were her publicist I don't think I would have recommend she say anything... very very high chance of that going badly for her and backfiring onto the author. tbh idek if this is something that she even would've been made aware of given how little attention it ended up getting, like does someone on her publicity team just keep an eye out for any and all low-level info about her exes? I have to assume yes but now I'm very curious
