I was looking at Ticketmaster once again to see what prices look like for this weekend, and they are charging $167 plus fees for "listening only, no stage view" seats at SoFi. :/

no stage view shouldn't even be allowed, even less for that price!

Yeah, I thought it was pretty fucked up, tbh, and kind of soured me on continuing to look for tickets. Limited view and/or side stage is one thing, but to pay $200+ to not be able to see at all is insane.

i'm surprised they even sell them, looking at the map it seems like it should end before you get the back of the stage.

i had the absolute last section at the top for eras in glendale but thankfully they had a screen and you could still see the catwalk, they better have a screen!

This reminds how the Vienna opera sells no stage view tickets for ballet!!! And they are also sold out

That’s insane. What would be the point? Just hearing their feet slap on the stage? That shouldn’t be allowed 😐

I saw the seats during my tour of the opera house. You’re stuck way off to the side behind a giant column and no way to even lean forward to catch a glimpse of the stage

You ever think it's possibly for people that are visually impaired that still want to experience the concert?

Reply

eisenberries September 2 2023, 17:12:58 UTC
no i actually hadn’t thought about that, i still think that price should be lowered though

i think there were $160ish upper bowl tickets in kc, i was really surprised that there were still that many for a fair price for current concerts. i've had awful times lately.

we booked a trip for minneapolis that weekend or else i'd definitely go, i just assumed i wouldn't even have a chance! ticketmaster behaved i guess

I've had really tough times with getting reasonably priced tickets lately too, and I think it's mostly scalper related. So I'm just going to less concerts overall because I just can't justify paying the prices, especially not to scalpers.

I love live music, and I always try to support artists I like, but there's a limit. And for someone like Beyonce, I'm a fan of some of her stuff, and I'd love to see her live! But for like $250 a seat, and with a decent view of the stage.

My sisters live in Pittsburgh and said that Beyonce cancelled bc the show wasn't selling well there - it's crazy how different the markets are! LA's three shows have been sold out (aside from platinum seats) since the shows were put on sale, idk why she didn't just add another one here.

pittsburgh???? that's so surprising to me, it's BEYONCE

taylor's shows have been a freak case but even getting past these stupid fucking queues have been hell. i missed out on olivia, the killers, and halsey because by the time i got in all tickets were sold. i got in to see lorde by the skin of my teeth but her show sold out in literally two minutes because she booked small ass venues. so many acts book too small of venues for their demand tbh. but then i saw the chicks recently and the venue was only about 80% full -- idgi.
