It is the summer of 1957. Behind the spectacle of Formula 1, ex-racer Enzo Ferrari is in crisis. Bankruptcy threatens the factory he and his wife, Laura built from nothing ten years earlier. Their volatile marriage has been battered by the loss of their son, Dino a year earlier. Ferrari struggles to acknowledge his son Piero with Lina Lardi.

Funny timing because I literally just watched Heat for the first time 2 days ago and I was somewhat disappointed. It didn't live up to the mountains of hype it gets for me. Maybe it didn't age well and has been ripped off so many times it doesn't feel innovative anymore? It also dragged towards the end.

Heat is an extremely slow burn and I also feel like the Pacino sex scene took me out.

His typical hammy acting/yelling didn't help either.

But I gotta say, De Niro was hot as hell in that role.

I saw Heat for the first time a year or two ago, and ITA with you. It was good, but definitely did not live up to the hype, and felt very long. And the female characters are uhhh... underdeveloped. But it's quite possible that seeing other movies that have been influenced by it played a part in my lukewarm feelings for it!

lol, yeah, we actually saw it in a theater as part of a "Filmed in LA" series! I love seeing the city in movies.
