I'm glad she's found the right corrective surgery because she looks better now than she has in recent years.

Unfortunately, yes. She had surgery that botched her face severely for a long time.

In the shots where they’re lying on the floor she looks pretty much like herself, but when she’s upright it’s like…why isn’t gravity working properly? It’s really sad, she’s so talented and had such a wonderfully expressive face.

I thought the same - it still looks somewhat awkward, but definitely much better than the past. I had a similar thought about Uma Thurman in Red, White, and Royal Blue, where I thought she looked fantastic, almost radiant, especially compared to how she had looked like in the recent past. Maybe there's a trend with older actresses to lay off the surgery/fillers more and let their faces relax?
