jason segel is not handsome but he does have that goofy affable quality that certainly makes him desirable in a very specific way. also his height.

my bff runs a restaurant he's a regular at, and she says he's 100% goofy hot + tall and he's incredibly sweet with the staff. Books reservations like a normie, knows everyone's names, has repartee with everyone and doesn't expect special treatment. Also gives incredible hugs, which tracks. if anything yikesy comes out about him i will be SUPER disappointed!

Not if, when tbh. I like him for all the reasons listed, but look at the people he hangs out with. He can’t be an innocent little bb after all these years.

i mean, fair! but with all of the stuff that's come out about this crew very recently you'd think we'd have heard some rumors by now, or an ex gf would have come out of the woodwork. Maybe he has the hardest working PR team in LA but i kinda doubt he can afford it

he also isn't married, no kids (not necessarily a red flag, mb a yellow one for a man his age), but he was in a relationship with a woman 10 years his junior for nearly 10 years and then broke it off when she hit 30? not a good sign

i think it's interesting with all the stuff that has come out about that group of actors (segel, rogen, jonah hill, etc the Apatow crew) that no one seems to have much to say about jason except that he's a good worker.

right? really the only thing you can say about him that's negative is he's a huge pothead. which you can say about everyone else in the apatow universe. I still maintain distrust of rich white guys with power but i think you could be stuck in an elevator with him and not worry for your safety. Low bar, but one a lot of them can't meet.

WAIT what came out about Rogen? I'm sus of him anyway but I think I missed something coming out about him.

mostly stuff about The Interview back when it was coming out but I can't remember if it was just that he made The Interview which everyone hated SO much or his comments about making it, plus his being buddies with James Franco around the time that all the stuff about Franco being a creep to NYU girls. i think Rogen gets a lot of flack by association because he is so heavily involved creatively in a lot of these collaborative endeavors, but Segel probably misses most of the associations because it doesn't seem like he's super duper tight with the rest of them and doesn't contribute to the writing/directing.

My brother's friend is a similar height and build to Jason, and he gives the absolute best hugs, so I absolutely believe this too

He's also a stoner and as someone with vast experience in the area, stoners are often the nicest, chillest guys even when they're not high. It's the one thing all the great guys I know have in common - to varying degrees, they all smoke pot lol

i want to say that my super nice chill husband is a former stoner (in his 20s) but we’ve recently gotten deeply into edibles so maybe he’s a stoner again lol
