I love that she did this. Why even go to a concert if you’re bothered by other people singing and dancing?

mte. i had someone here once tell me how rude i was for singing along at a concert and that i'm disrespectful for doing that. i was like ok, stay home and listen to your cd and dont go to live shows then, idk what to tell you

Right? Live concert wank is easily the one ONTD wank that truly highlights just how very online some people are ( ... )

Exactly! Especially that feeling of catharsis and exhaustion and just joy you feel. I haven’t gone to a concert since 2019 and I made friends for the night with the girl next to me and we were singing and dancing and getting our life to bad bunny all night and I couldn’t care less if a single person had a problem with it lol

I agree.
These people should not come to South America. We go crazy here.

It really depends though. Like if I want to go to a concert for the band, I want to go to the concert for the band and to hear them sing it, not some young tween screaming in my ear the lyrics to Silk Chiffon (I went to Muna and had a miserable time because of this).

Stay home and listen to a live recording then?

So ppl should just sit and sway quietly? Artists themselves do not want that at a show. J Cole did a whole speech during one of his tours where he was making fun of people who just stand there and bop their heads, and how he wants to see people of of their seats moving their arms and dancing and joining in. Like, they want the energy too. They want that Beyonce moment where she stops singing and the crowd just finishes the verse for her. That's the exact energy they look for

I don't think anyone should be going to a show expecting a quiet, seated crowd unless you're going to see some singer-songwriter with an acoustic guitar on stage

apples and oranges. it's not a stadium concert. it's a more intimate surrounding with an amphitheater seating. no one is saying you should be quiet but having a selfie stick up the entire time and screaming non stop is not something anyone would enjoy having in front of them at adele concert.

Adele herself STOPPED THE SHOW and told the crowd to leave him alone and let him have fun, and then assured the fan he won't be bothered anymore -- clearly, she doesn't have a problem with how he was acting at her show. Just because you think it's a different scenario really means very little when the artist in question herself is telling everyone to leave the dude the fuck alone

lol she doesn't have a problem with it because she's on stage singing, she's not the one watching the show. she doesn't know the specifics and how the fan in question is behaving. like please stop acting like you wouldn't have been as equally bothered had you been seated behind him. like who the fuck brings a selfie stick to a show and holds it up the entire team.

there's a HUGE difference between singing along and SCREAMING along. People have really forgotten that they're not the only people who exist at a concert lol.

I agree and I hate that people don’t get that

Sing along? The person next to you probable can’t even hear you, you’re good

Scream along? You’re just looking for attention

This. The rare occacions I do go to a concert I sing along when I can but in the way I'd sing along like I'd do at home.

exactly. If all I could hear the whole concert was the people next to me screaming - not singing, but screeching at the top of their lungs - like the tiktok below, I would be so pissed.
