i really hope past the boomer generation, moms are better at protecting their daughters against men. my mom never did shit when her teenage daughters would get cat called or hit on in public. in retrospect idk if she was a coward or proud.

same..I remember I was 16 or 17 and was in Vegas with my parents when a bachelor party was there and started talking to us, and they wanted our hotel room number so they could call and ask me to hang out later- they were aged 25-30 and my mom gave it to them- I guess she thought they were joking. they were not- they called and asked me to go clubbing, and wear something skimpy. I declined, and the one on the phone would not let up. I don't remember why, but I gave one my email, he was a fireman (so he said) and he wound up emailing me later on) but I didn't respond. like my parents didn't want me to date, but then they pulled stuff like this.

I think that’s all they know and some who don’t like still have to handle men with kid gloves- don’t call them out cause it will make them feel uncomfortable or like they don’t work hard (also yes safety is a concern. It’s a layered mess)

this is such a weird picture, like it's creepy because of the context but also it looks weirdly fake, like they're in two totally different photoshoots or like he photoshopped himself into her picture.

It reminds me a bit of that People cover of JT & Biel's wedding where she's sitting on the ground in her full gown and he just HAD to be up in the air instead of next to her
