I can see it. Before the pandemic, people tolerated a lot of things and for a lot of people it had a "life is too short to be dealing with bullshit" effect. That's why a lot of people quit jobs, broke up with SOs, made hobbies their main gigs, reevaluated friendships, etc.

I think this is it. Pre-pandemic, a lot of younger celebs would be too terrified of losing their fame momentum (and money) to fight back against managerial nonsense. Now, they have realized that they can live more quietly and the world won't implode if they're not everywhere all the time.
