lol I just watched Benjamin Button a few nights ago and I was thinking, wtf why did people love this? For a movie that seemed to want to thrive on character development, it had NONE.

because it is a deeply reactionary film and the technical aspects, writing, and acting (yes, i think hanks' performance is uneven at best) aren't enough to make it an interesting kind of reactionary film
