Ron Cephas Jones, known for his role as William Hill on NBC’s “This Is Us,” has died. He was 66.

Is it because i'm older that I think anything under 80 is sort of young or is it that my mom is 76 and still active?

No, 66 is definitely too young. It is also normal to compare others to the age of our parents. I do it too.

I think because we’re older and we see our parents in them. Like our parents are 60-70s and we feel like they have a lot of time left with us. Also a lot of people that age are still so healthy and active so it’s crazy. Like if I person was 85 or 90 we wo don’t think they were too young IT’s more expected

I said it on here before; one of my mother's friends is 15 years her senior and literally drove about 2 hours to see her. This woman is 75. that's stamina I don't have at 30.

That's definitely so young to me. My parents are both over 66 and still playing tennis and going out and I can't imagine losing them anytime soon. So sorry to his family/daughter and to any ONTDers who lost their parents/guardians too soon.

My dad is 83 and still very active. The thought of losing him 17 years ago is beyond devastating.

So I see a lot of people in my line of work, and it's crazy to me that I'll people my dad's age (71) that I seriously wonder how they get through the day without killing themselves or someone else, while he's playing golf every minute he can and can find movies to stream online better than I can.
