Awww, Nancy erasing Ace's sin and his ensuing anger reminded me of Willow erasing Tara's memory of their fight. One of the things that always bothers me on shows like this (weirdly, it happens a lot on shows about the supernatural) is when characters made choices for other people, especially not telling them. I got so sick of everyone making deals and setting up elaborate deals to save Elena on TVD.
Nancy's rationalization that Ace was in so much pain made me roll my eyes. Yes, he was upset because someone died due to his choice, but also it literally JUST HAPPENED. Of course he was still upset about it! There's no way he was going to be over Alice's death a few hours after it happened. I understand not wanting to see someone you love suffer, but damn, give it some time! At least a whole day?
I had to rewind the scene with George and her sort of boyfriend/classmate because at first glance, I was so confused. I know the timeline on this show is wackadoodle but how is George, who is the same age as Nancy applying to law school at the age of 19? Only one year has elapsed since S1 began so how is it possible that George managed to get enough undergrad credits to go to law school? But apparently she said that she applied to combo undergrad/JD programs (apparently that's what the fictitious Northern Seattle Legal College offers).
There's nothing wrong with her new love interest but just like the new partners for Nick, Carson, Ryan, etc., they all seem like a whole lot of nothing. Even Tristan, who is involved in all the sin eater stuff, isn't very interesting. I'm definitely not saying that I want everyone in the friend group to date each other, just that the new love interests all same like sketches of people so there's nothing for me to really like about them. They're non-offensive and that's about it. If they all broke up now, I wouldn't care. I guess I should be glad that the show didn't waste too much time on the new love interests since I'd rather see them solving mysteries and hanging out with each other.
Ha, I'm kind of excited to see what happens now that all the sins have been un-erased.
Is it wrong that when Ryan told his girlfriend he wanted to stay because he has ties there, I was thinking about his love for Carson?
the fact that the dads never kissed is just wrong.
Still holding out hope that they realize their true love for each other in the series finale and decide to raise Jean’s baby together My Two Dads style (she doesn’t have to die tragically but maybe she can just move out of town, gracefully bowing out when she sees that Carson will never love her as much as he loves Ryan) 😆
I am still shook that the show wants us to believe that everything that happened in four seasons took place over one calendar year.
I know it’s the CW but I wish they would accept that not every single character needs to be in a romantic relationship. I was happy just watching them solve mysteries together every week. I didn’t need French ghost girl or Jean or any of these new love interests taking up time!
George applied to a combined program, in this case a combined undergrad and JD program. I work at a university that has one of these and I have a dotted line reporting relationship to our registrar so I have some familiarity. Students apply and are admitted as an undergraduate and essentially conditionally admitted to the JD program. After a few years-usually three-of undergraduate work, if their gpa is a certain level, and/or their LSAT, they matriculate into law school. Hope this clears up a little bit of the confusion!
I rolled my eyes at the name of the college because if you were doing a combined program, it wouldn’t be a law school because there’s not an undergraduate in legal studies (there is pre-law). There’s also few independent law schools in the first place. I thought it was odd that they used the name of a real college for the dude (Washington State), instead of University of the State of Washington or something but then use a fake college name for her.
Love that goin thought about Ryan’s love for Carson lol.
When I watched it last night and they had Tristan and Nancy together, I said “they have zero chemistry.” Because it’s true. I can’t believe that with as many episodes that Tristan has ruined this season we know almost nothing about him. He’s a lobster fisherman, and he’s the sin eater. That’s it.
So confused by some of the storylines this year. The whole town council thing, and the sudden hatred of the historical society. All that felt like filler and seems like there’s another way they could have gotten here. The sheriff of the town who’s so weirdly controlling. Ace being in the morgue constantly and having to drag him to hang out with his friends. The ghost that somehow started to become flesh or something because they could touch?? And I ageee, I hate all the love interests. I don’t even remember seeing Ryan’s before. They’re all one dimensional, boring, including Jean who is the most fleshed out of all of them and we still know nothing. I don’t need everyone to end up with a love (just Nancy, haha). And Bess was the only one who had one going into the season but she isn’t around anymore. Huh?
I hate the whole thing with Nancy taking away ace’s memory. I agree wholeheartedly about the time frame. Minutes after Ace calls she’s there removing this? The entire thing is completely out of character for Nancy andI hate this last minute complete character rewrite.

out of the 5 main characters, 4 of them got new underdevelopped love interests... show, maybe chill on the last minute LIs??? 😅
the fact that the dads never kissed is just wrong.

i can't read suddenly i don't know, this part became all blurry 🥸
not one character needed a new love interest and i agree that them solving mysteries is much more compelling

Even if this doesn’t happen next week, it’s now part of my head canon. I’ll just pretend that scene got cut for time 🤪
