Six male
@metpoliceuk officers, all in their 60s, have been charged with sending racist texts. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex featured in several of their racist WhatsApp messages.

August 15, 2023 The charges come after a BBC Newsnight investigation in October last year which prompted a probe by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards.The racist texts referenced the government's Rwanda policy, while others joked about recent flooding in Pakistan, which left almost 1,700 people dead.
The officers served in various parts of the force but all spent time in the Diplomatic Protection Group, now known as the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command.
The men charged are Peter Booth, 66, Robert Lewis, 62, Anthony Elsom, 67, Alan Hall, 65, Michael Chadwell, 62, and Trevor Lewton, 65.
