I'm more concerned about the "no current plans for a WW movie in general "

Why do Supes/Bats get continually rebooted but she gets 2 movies and put on ice?

The longest Superman has been off air between tv/movies is like 3 years

there’s a themyscira tv drama that’s in the works that gave me rome/spartacus vibes based on the description for it. no word on whether or not diana would be in it at all, but at least it’s something

some of the best ww storylines have leaned into the political intrigue/conflict side of things on themyscira imo so it could have potential

That's not enough for me.

The Batman made less than WW and has 2 shows set in his universe in development.

Imma need a WW3 not part of the DCU or a separate live action series or an animated series.

Superman has a tv show, an animated series, and a movie all being worked on starring Clark Kent.

the batman came out right when theaters were barely back to being “open”?

everything that came out last spring underperformed compared to any superhero movie that came out pre-COVID. even mcu shit is underperforming compared to before COVID now lmfao

You act like The Batman would've surpassed WW. He wouldn't.

The year before Spidey made a billion. Bond, FF9 made $700mill plus.

No excuse for Batman making less than WW and getting an entire universe. Also lead to the animated series airing later this year.

That's a ridiculous comparison. Spidey was the third in its own franchise, The Batman was a standalone, not sold as a franchise at all, and had no lead in or 30 years of a franchise to draw from the way NWH with Tobey, Andrew and Tom in it.

And The Batman made $770M, on it's own. You keep comparing it to long running franchises, that comparison doesn't apply. Plus when it was released, Covid was surging again.

It deserves everything it's getting, it's a high quality film, unlike Batman v Superman or many of the previous Batman movies. WW was a popcorn flick and no one ever said Gal could act. Again, no comparison.

Uhh...its Batman. The biggest superhero in the world.

You trying to diminish WW beating the Bat at the box office. First solo movie. First big superhero female solo movie. So she deserves it all and THEN SOME.

She also beat Superman. So yes, give her, her accolades. Give her, her spin-offs, her animated series, her tv series.

Yeah, and The Batman had two years of Snyder's cult trying to sabotage it. They literally had boycott hashtags and made up new ridiculous rumors everyday to discourage people from going to see it.

They lied about the director, the actors, the script, everything you could lie about, they tried it, trying to make everyone fatigued before we even saw a trailer.

WW had a lead in from BvS, that's an advantage and she premiered before Covid, which is also an advantage. You can keep going on, but those are facts and she only grossed $47M more anyway, it's not like she made $200M more. $817 vs $770.

Beating Snyder's version of Superman isn't difficult but sure, she should have animated shows, series, all that stuff. I've got nothing against WW, she's a great character. I'd like to see a better actress play her, that's all.

Are we really trying to say the Snyder crowd has any real sway in The Batman box office?

Superman is Superman and having a woman beat him, esp WW is always an achievement. She also beat Superman Returns.

WW had a $150m budget compared to TB $200m budget so she won in every way there was. Beating Batman when he's Batman and being a woman is a HUGE achievement. Even if its $10 more.

Yeah, the Snyder cult is great at disinformation and making fans exhausted before a film comes out, they're a toxic dump site.

Snyder's Superman was a confused, depressed version of the character that the audience rejected.

The real budget for The Batman was around $100M, the rest of that inflated estimate was fabricated during Covid. Reeves doesn't rely on expensive VFX, he knows how to shoot economically. WB is thrilled with the profit they made on TB, in just 45 days, during Covid.

You must have me confused with someone else. My account was suspended once because I told a racist to go fuck themselves.

So which member of the Snyder cult are you? Talk about unhinged.

Aw, I'm not.

Your reputation happens to precede you, and it wasn't hard to recognise the insanity in your comments.

I'm sure you saw this, but it goes along with the fact that people still weren't going back to the theater in normal numbers when The Batman came out.

"According to a Quorum poll 11 percent of those who saw “Barbie” had not been to a cinema since before COVID. Another 11 percent could not recall the last time they had been to a movie theater at all."

The Batman was the highest grossing film Warner Bros released in 2022, making double what Elvis! made. It's in the top 10 highest grossing films of 2022 and has excellent critical and audience scores. Can't say that about WW.

It did all that during a Covid surge, with half the theaters in Asia closed, and they had to cancel half the premieres they had scheduled. It would have made more than WW if it could have played in China, Japan, S. Korea, and parts of Australia. They were all blocked out when it opened.

Lol you're trying and failing.

WW beat TB at the box office AND the critics reviews.

The Batman RT score - 85%

WW RT score - 93%

Power to WW. Give her EVERYTHING. She deserves EVERYTHING.
