Sort of as a followup to the "good actor, bad agent" post, I feel like a lot of people base their concept of success on whether someone's an A-lister. But that seems like a miserable life, apart from all of the money. I feel like having a solid B career is what most people realize pays the bills and keeps them satisfied.

Not if you have legions of horny fans, though.

True. And I don’t think he expected it. It was a $50 million movie from a new indie studio. And then … BAM.

There’s definitely an interesting “who had the best agent” thing here. Rob’s must be remarkably patient, he must have been a nightmare during Twilight PR, the way he kept going off message. And then was basically “screw franchises, I’m off to do indie movies” right at the point he was most bankable. Agent drinks a LOT of herbal tea.

50 shades and that bee film makes me side-eye Jamie’s. Obviously he made bank with the former but when you’ve got Lewis Capaldi still making jokes about it..he’s never going to live it down. I imagine that every conversation has an apologetic undertone.

Andrew’s agent must be thanking their lucky stars. He’s so NICE. Doesn’t seem to do drama, makes good choices. Dream client.

Eddie is going to end up being Elder Statesman of British Cinema. He’ll be in work forever. Worthy. BAFTA fellowship is in the bag. His agent calls him “The pension.”

Except Garfield got himself blacklisted by Sony for ditching a dinner date with Sony's CEO. I don't think the Spider-Man crossover film would have happened if the CEO hadn't retired beforehand.
