I *think* it can be confusing for some people because at least in the US, liberals view (white passing) Jewish people as white. But I think people forget when it comes to white supremacy, who liberals or leftists or progressives or centrists decide who is white does not matter to white supremacists.

The insistence that ‘whiteness’ is based purely on skin colour is just baffling and infuriating to me.

Especially when it’s applied to groups who have and continue to face centuries of oppression.

And then its applied outside of America and we have that particular discussion to have.

I got downvoted to hell on Reddit for basically saying I accept he may not have meant it anti-semitically, but I am not going to sit here and accept people saying it's a reach to think he did.
