that i know, but i'm not sure i would be able to claim that it had anything with Judas being Jewish, just a snake. frankly its really illogical (very stupid to asks anti-semites to be logical but walk with me) to not like Jewish people but also hates Jewish people cause Jesus was very famously Jewish.
i'm probably not seeing it because dogwhistles like this are very foreign to me but i'm not here to tell anyone that it isn't anti-Semitic.
Yes, but according to the Gospels, Pilate, as he did every year around Passover, offered to release a prisoner and when he gave the crowd (which was Jewish) the option to choose and they saved Barabbas instead. So the Christians get to be antisemitic either way.
I mean, I’m glad that you’ve never heard about Jews being blamed for Jesus’ death, but I have my whole life. In real life, jokes in movies, TV shows, have referred to it, too. It’s a well known “myth”, “ conspiracy theory”, whatever you want to call it.
Pontius Pilate was the Roman governor type guy and he allowed the local population of Judea to vote on which criminals would be crucified and which would be forgiven. In the story, the locals voted to save a thief, Barabbas, instead of Jesus. This became part of anti-Semitic lore as a reflection of their denial of Christ and betrayal of God.
