i love how much laurence does the minimum on some of these challenges. and nina just takes it. it’s the best recurring bit. 😂

And she clearly does not give a fuck about the judges' feedback. This week, Nina told her that she could have used more stripes and Laurence said, "I could have but I didn't," and then just shrugged.

I love that she just knows when feedback won't work for her. Like more stripes might be what Nina would do, but it would not be Laurence so she is not even entertaining the idea.

I don’t recall an All Stars season before where the near consensus amongst the contestants - thought to vary degrees - was that they don’t care about the judges’ feedback. I’m wondering if having an actual successful designer as their mentor (i.e. Siriano replacing Tim Gunn) has made the input of the mostly non-designer panel less relevant? I guess that’s also compounded by the fact that this is probably the most established collective group with successful business that they don’t have much to prove at all and only benefit from the exposure.

Now that you mention it, it seems like they pay most attention to what Brandon might have to say (or if the guest judge is a designer what they say).
