I saw Talk to Me which was good, not sure I put it on the level it's being hyped at (like 'SCARIEST MOVIE EVER, SOOO HORRIBLY UNSETTLING, THE MOST TERRIFYING THING I'VE EVER WITNESSED...') but I thought it was enjoyable, had some really realistic performances and some interesting scares and themes.

I do think it needed like... 15 more minutes, apparently the dvd/blu-ray will have an extra 20 minutes of footage available, so there's that.

But maybe it didn't help that I had a terrible audience. I was shocked at how disrespectful people were. Someone was on their phone the entire time, just scrolling. I could block their phone if I moved my head a certain way because the foot of the guy next to me would cover it. But other people down in front kept bringing up their phones now and then and scrolling, the couple behind me kept having conversations about the movie ("omg, did you hear that, she just said ____ ohhh I don't like that, nope, did you hear that part?") etc etc.

Totally bizarre, never had this issue at this theater before. Maybe because there was a lot of 18 and young 20 somethings compared to movies I normally see? Idk. I wish the theater would put ushers in the doorways again, they stopped doing that ages ago. There's no way to go get an usher without missing the movie, and I also have a hard time going up/down stairs so I don't like to leave mid-movie unless it's an emergency.

Oh man, what a bummer re: your audience!

I was actually worried we were gonna have a bad audience, too, because the theater was packed, and the crowd was being pretty loud during the trailers, but everyone stfu during the actual movie, so I was grateful. And I only saw one phone for a second or two, which is good because people on their phones drive me insane. Like, just go home if you're gonna look at Instagram, damn!!

I'm glad you had a (mostly) good audience!!

Normally a packed audience for a horror movie is a good sign to me, that we'll all be "into it," bigger reactions, etc. It was a nearly sold out show & just so many awful people, I was shocked. And it's a 90 minute movie people c'mon!!!

I think the worst time to see a movie is on a weekend evening of the opening week for a pg 13 horror film

I find it's usually packed with 12-16 year olds who are high off of being with their friends with no parental supervision and they will just be so obnoxious

I'll never forget seeing The Rite in 2011 (Anthony Hopkins exorcism movie) and the entire row behind us was tween boys who did not stop talking full volume the entire movie
