"We wanted to stay but we were kicked out," said Bell, after joking, "We made quite a home for ourselves here" https://t.co/CTKHpySzR9 - TooFab (@TooFab) July 29, 2023
The version I read at another source said that the airport kicked everyone out at 1am. It also said that Kristen and Dax couldn't find a hotel room within a 50 mile radius which is why they ended up buying all the pillows and stuff (I don't know what the hotel situation is like near Boston in the summer, so anyone with more knowledge, feel free to chime in if this seems unlikely).
There is no way that there weren't any vacancies inside a 50 mile radius. That would put you in New Hampshire (and almost to Maine lol) if you went north. They are just rich people who like to make a spectacle. It would have been easy to Uber to a hotel in the greater Boston area.
I was skeptical about the 50 mile claim. I was willing to believe that there weren't any rooms available at the hotels closest to the airport but nothing for 50 miles? But like I said, I don't live there so I thought maybe I am just unfamiliar with how few hotels there are within 50 miles or what the summer season is like or maybe there was a huge event going on that I didn't know about (like the weekend of Comic-Con in San Diego). I figured I should let the locals tell me how realistic this claim was.
Flight delays are insane right now so while I am going to assume they are exaggerating, I can believe that it was difficult to find a place close to the airport with a vacancy so they can get back to the airport in time.
Yeah I agree. My flight back home was delayed last month. I was already staying with fam but some ppl on reddit threads I was following complained about airlines not providing vouchers for the interruption of service and hotels being overly booked close to the airports.
Honestly i believe her…there are multiple big events going on this weekend in Boston proper plus flights were being cancelled left and right. When there are large concerts in NYC like Taylor Swift it’s almost impossible to get a hotel room past midnight. They were not the only people staying in the airport. Many airlines let u hunker down if this happens/find u accommodations as this happened to me more than once. Though I have no experience of this situation at Logan airport. It looks like their flight finally got canceled around midnight and their new flight would have been around 6/7am there is nothing wrong with what they did.
And how people are reacting to this is absolutely bonkers! They made a social media post nasty page six picked it up and misquoted them and here we are… Again most airlines/airports after cancellations like this just leave you be or help you find accommodations. It seems like most people commenting have never traveled a day in their lives
Where Beyonce is playing is 30+ miles away from the airport and Foxboro has artists who pack 70,000 fans in all summer. I think Ed Sheeran played 3 nights and had big crowds which is surprising because I didn't realize he was popular lol
i know but i wouldn't be surprised if ppl stay closer to Boston rather than foxboro esp if they:re from out of town/state and wanna make a weekend out of it (or they might be forced to stay in Boston since everything around foxboro will have def been booked up immediately)
and lmao ikr, my friend went to one and i was like ed sheeran is on this level really?
I was just reading how he’s broken several stadium attendance records for his tour. A few were recently just broken by Swift, only for him come in right behind and get the new record, lol.
I'm more surprised about them being kicked out honestly. I've slept in numerous airports overnight (pre- and post- security).
One memorable time was at O'hare when my flight wasn't until 5a, but my bus to the airport got there at like 9p . . . I convinced the powers that be to let me check-in and pass security so I could sleep on something aside from a hard uncarpeted floor. That's literally what I told them and they were like "fine whatever".
Speaking of NH, my mom and I were once driving from NC to ME and we went whale watching in Gloucester MA and my mom booked a hotel in what she thought was Manchester (by the Sea) MA and was actually in Manchester NH so that was a fun trip way out of the way to a place I never want to go to again.

Everyone forgets how dense New England can get. 50 miles takes you out to the boonies pretty much.
