no joke tho my mother was like this. she always said that if I was gonna drunk underage (limit is 18 here, but we were out at 16 ooooops) then best to do it when she was in, and she could supervise.

I feel like there is some logic in this for teens, because I'd rather my kids were somewhere I could keep an eye on them instead of in the park where all sorts of things could happen.

oh definitely, I also live by the sea (and it happened that I saw some people drenched walking around during the night).

Plus, when we woudl meet together with the elementary class, we'd always end up in his garage and it was actually so close to everyone's home that I think pretty much everyone could be home in 10 minutes or less by walk.
