The Kens that could have been
In a recent Vanity Fair interview, Barbie casting director Allison Jones revealed some of the actors who had to turn down roles in the movie. Dan Levy, Bowen Yang, and ONTD fave Ben Platt were supposed to play Kens, and Jonathan Groff was in talks to play Allan. The entire Barbie cast was required to stay in London for three months due to COVID protocols, which is what prevented the actors from accepting the roles.
