I knew working actors/a lot of TV actors weren't like rich-rich, but I had assumed they were at least making network/broadcast money, which is a decent living wage. The way streaming is paying is criminal.

At a convention eons ago, the actor Joe Pantoliano said he needed 4-5 roles a year to live halfway comfortably. But that was when the money was still semi good and TV show and ad residuals we’re paid

I knew a lot of them relied on going to conventions because they're paid to appear.

I'm reading Peter Cushing's autobiography and JFC, this man headlined all the major Hammer horror films and couldn't afford to roof his house. The studio finally paid for it. Granted this is the 60's but still. Imagine your main star is poor, working his ass off while his wife is dying from cancer.

Even worse. He did several series for BBC (Pride and Prejudice for example) and was paid the equivalent of $500 for the whole thing.

Nothing has fucking changed apparently decades later.
