‘Jackass’ stunt performer Wee Man (real name Jason Acuña) is ripping Disney for swapping out "dwarves" for taller actors in the upcoming live-action version of "Snow White" ... he says it's another existential threat facing his community.

I'm of two minds about it. On the one hand, stereotypes. On the other hand, lil people getting paid? It's very delicate.

I don't even understand the stereotypes argument.
The characters were named after personality traits: sneezy, lazy, happy... are these somehow linked to dwarfism in a way that I'm not aware of?

I guess the fact that dwarfs are little people? I don't know.

In the fairytake each dwarf had a personality type. I would have just hired little people and let the different personality types shine.

Yeah idt even in the original animation the dwarves were stereotypes, i havent seen it in years so idk if there were any little people jokes (which would be shocking if there werent for 1930) but like… just make all the characters shine and dont make being small the butt of any jokes and you have the bare minimum at least

I don't think there were short jokes because it was the first flick of its kind so they played everything pretty seriously. The only person the dwarfs talk to is Snow White and that's not really her thing.
