Have any of recent the Agatha Christie movies done well? I feel like the previous efforts have fallen flat and yet we're getting a third one?

C&P from my reply to OP;
According to Wikipedia; Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express had a budget of $55 million & made $352.8 million. His Death on the Nile had a budget of $90 million & made $137.3 million.
The first was a success, the second wasn't. But maybe he has a development deal for so many movies?

And There Were None (2015) is still vastly superior to the few I've seen. It's a BBC production though.

Murder on the Orient Express was pretty massive. I was working at a cinema at the time, and it was total madness - I think it's got a broad appeal as it's got such a crossover audience. There were people 70+ coming for Christie / Branagh combo, and younger audiences coming for Daisy Ridley at the peak Star Wars sequels craze and so many people in-between. I think the sequel was mostly hit by the combination of the pandemic + Armie Hammer scandal, and this one probably won't reach the height of the first but will do better than the second.
