Book purists hate it but I didn’t read them so I’m enjoying myself lol. Very diverse cast and lesbians/bi/queer folks so I’m rooting for it!

the books are bloated and overrated anyway, saying this as someone who devoured the first ten of them in my teens. upon re-read they just don't hold up and while i don't love the show (i do enjoyed watching it tho! just didn't grab me like other things have), i rly don't care that they're different from the books lol.

Agree - I like the books but I took a break from reading them years ago and basically never got back into them. Because I forgot all the complicated characters and lore and couldn't be bothered to go back to book 1

If you don't like fantasy I'd probably skip it lol. I like it but it's def a fantasy show.
