In 2014, the MTV nominated all men in the heroes category for the MTV movie awards. Initiates -- what Hunger Games fans called themselves -- campaigned hard for JLaw/Katniss to be added the category. She wasn't, but both Katniss and Tris were added to the fan favorite polls. People could vote by using #VoteTris or #VoteKatniss hashtags across multiple social media platforms -- vine, twitter, and instagram. There were memes. There was fighting. There was bribery. Classes were skipped. Terms of services were read (ONTD -- we can learn from them). Who won? Watch to find out, unless you remember but it's been 9 years so idk.
