Creative Artists Agency (CAA) is in advanced talks to sell a majority stake to French billionaire (and husband to Salma Hayek) Francois-Henri Pinault for up to $7 billion. An anonymous source familiar with the matter said that a final decision has not been made and talks could still end without an agreement.

CAA is home to some of today's biggest stars including Tom Hanks, Zendaya, Steven Spielberg, Ariana Grande, Beyonce, and others.

The sale talk report comes at a time when Hollywood actors have decided to go on strike after talks with studios broke down, joining film and television writers who have been on picket lines since May.

Pinault is also the CEO of luxury conglomerate Kering which is home to brands including Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, and Boucheron. A Kering spokesperson said that the company had no involvement in the talks. Nevertheless, the possible deal presents potential for major crossovers given Kering's stable of luxury brands while actors and writers are getting residual checks for literal pennies and being threatened to be driven out of their homes.

CAA itself purchased and merged with ICM, a smaller companion agency, two years ago.
