Review Roundup: They Cloned Tyrone 🙎🏾‍♂️🙎🏾‍♂️

#TheyClonedTyrone is one of my favorite movies of the year so far and I did not see that coming. I adore so many of the bold choices Juel Taylor made here and my god is @JohnBoyega at the top if his game. Best performance of his career, without question.https://t.co/YlWc8D2PQE

COMICBOOK.COM (Charlie Ridgely up there): "Boyega delivers a tour-de-force performance as Fontaine, one that will likely be brought up for the rest of his career. He disappears into the character and makes you forget he was the guy in those Star Wars movies."

DEADLINE: If not well balanced or fully achieved, They Cloned Tyrone is provocative in its mix of sci-fi and contemporary political elements; it’s unusual, gutsy and entirely welcome as something different and unexpected in the genre.

COLLIDER: Even as his fellow stars are each solid, it is Boyega who soars once again. Whatever the scene demands of him, he always rises to the occasion.

THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER: When Foxx is onscreen with Parris, a certain kind of magic happens. The pair treat their characters’ verbal tussles like rappers in a cypher: Their metaphors are smooth and their egos huge.

apparently it's getting a limited run in theaters starting tomorrow. streaming on Netflix does show what's popular and gets actors (pathetic, but still, see that oitnb post) residuals.

This movie actually comes out on the platform July 21st. Triple feature! #TheyClonedBarbenheimer
