Writer Alex Garland and director Danny Boyle have revealed that the script to the sequel to the 2002 horror film 28 Days Later is finished. They shared the news during a 28 Days Later oral history at the source. Stars Cillian Murphy and Naomie Harris previously said they are up for returning as Jim and Selena.
Alex Garland didn't like 28 Weeks Later and decided to set the tentatively titled 28 Years Later in a 'different world.'
If Oppenheimer is a success, we can assume this sequel will get greenlit very quickly.
