There was a messy situation with her Husband's previous wife. Julia had an affair with him. Then she was photographed wearing a shirt that said "A low Vera". Vera was his wife's name & it was a reference to her not wanting to grant him a divorce.

More like she felt like Vera was "hitting low" because she wasn't divorcing her husband fast enough. She even offered to pay her off. I wish I was kidding, but I'm not. Plus at that time Danny's family couldn't stand Julia because one of their immediate family members got so stressed out from the affair they actually had a heart attack. The whole situation was super messy.
