I am also considering taking a full fucking break. I love reading books and have completely stopped for a few years now because I read so much online content. I was reading a book today and it felt so free to just be on the fucking page and feel like I wasn't being spied on via cookies or advertised to.

I know what you mean!! There's also a certain tactile-ness that comes with books that you can't get from an ereader, laptop, or phone. The experience is so much more engrossing. Sure, all those stats about how long it takes for me to read a book is fun but it also weirds me out that these corporations know where I am in my book.
