- SAG-AFTRA, the actors union, released a video message to their membership about their ongoing deals
- Some of the biggest names in Hollywood don't think leadership is negotiating enough
- A letter was sent to leadership saying this was an inflection point and that not fighting for actors rights now will badly hurt their future
- Signatories include Oscar winners Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Rami Malek, Brendan Fraser, and Sarah Polley, as well as notable actors J Smith Cameron, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Riley Keough, Elliot Page, Constance Wu, an unspecified Michelle Williams, and many, many more (no seriously there are 300+ actors who signed this thing)
- While the DGA just voted to certify their deal the WGA has been on strike since May 2nd with no end in sight
