Like most young actresses at the time, Jennifer Lawrence auditioned for the role of Bella in Twilight. She says she was immediately turned down and didn't get a call back.
She admits the huge fame of the Twilight cast and all of the attention that came along with it almost kept her from accepting The Hunger Games. She did, of course, accept in the end. She says she inisited on making non franchise movies in between The Hunger Games so she wouldn't be pigeonholed as a franchise only actress.
In past interviews, Jennifer said the role that really hurt losing out on was Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland. She says that was crushing to lose out on.
