i just googled it and yeah you're remembering correctly. i had no idea he was so abusive, poor christina

the last update on their custody case was in january and a judge took away his right to keep their son overnight, but the custody case is still ongoing. i guess she still has to ask him for permission to take their son out of state though which is what this is about.

It's wild that the courts still let abusers see their kids. Because then they use the kids as another form of abuse against the parent they harmed.

Fuck this guy.

yeah, it looks like they finalized a joint custody agreement in december but then christina took him back to court just a month later in january because he was being emotionally abusive to their son and got overnight visits removed.

it seems they're now hashing out the custody agreement again but hopefully it ends well for christina and her son.

Every time! I really don’t know why courts think this is ok. Even if the child is never touched, having to watch abuse is just another form of abuse.

it wasn't until i started following brody dalle's case that i became aware of the fact family court is hell on earth. the fact children's safety and well-being are not prioritize over parental "rights" is absurd. children being pawns is baked into the family court system. it's awful, awful stuff.

It is insane to me - and it's not just the US by any means - how many courts utterly dismiss the effect of spousal abuse on children. It's like they think that so long as the child wasn't the direct target, no damage done and it has no bearing on their parenting.

Which is just utterly ignorant both of abuse dynamics and child development. And especially ignores the fact that abusive spouses become highly vindictive exes who are prone to using their children as weapons.

Yep. Abusive men usually get full custody when they're accused of abuse by the children or the ex-wife. Not kidding.

The concept of PA was proposed by a man who claimed, “There is a bit of pedophilia in every one of us” to dismiss children’s and mothers’ allegations of SA and DV by fathers. It is therefore unsurprising that claims of PA are made by men at 6 times…(1/2) https://t.co/kBszigRK4Y
