Nintendo Direct 2023 - Elephant Mario, Peach, Sonic, and more
Not to be outdone by other recent game expos, Nintendo held a 40-minute direct event today revealing many of its upcoming Switch games for the next year. There were quite a few reveals so here are some highlights.
Elephant in the room - Super Mario Bros. Fursona Wonder
The latest Mario adventure is a 2-D side scroller with new items such as wonder flowers which bring objects like pipes and blocks to life, but the new power-up that has everyone talking is one that turns our beloved plumber into an elephant. The internet has run wild with this concept creating memes and art alike, and of course depicting Elephant Mario with his dick out (no I will not link you and god help us all)

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is out October 20th
Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon
Deceased skinny legend and formerly buried gay Luigi returns in a remaster of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. No trailer was shown out of pure disrespect to our fallen angel.
Detective Pikachu Returns
Everyone's favorite detective dons a deerstalker once again to solve Pokemon-related mysteries in the sequel to the beloved game (and pretty good movie). Out Oct. 6th
Super Mario RPG
A remake of the iconic 1996 SNES game, the first Mario RPG game, the last Mario game for SNES, and the first in which you played with Big Boss Bowser against a greater foe (Smithy). OP is extremely excited for this and to relive the minecart ride in glorious modern graphics. Out November 17th.
Untitled Princess Peach Game
In her first game as a true protagonist since 2005's Super Princess Peach, Peach will star in her own star-studded adventure to be released in 2024.
Batman: Arkham Trilogy
The Arkham series in its entirety, DLCs included, are coming to Switch! Releasing this fall.
Sonic Superstars
The beloved blue hedgehog and perennial subject of a particularly horny side of the internet returns in a side-scrolling co-op game releasing this fall.
Pikmin 4
The strange, adorable world of Pikmin returns after a long wait in Pikmin 4, but this time you have to save Olimar yourself with some cute little friends. Releases July 21st with a demo out June 28th.
Mythforce
A fantasy game with very cool Thundercats-ish art, coming later this year.
