I'd love some studies on really wealthy people and a lack of moral compass/empathy.

There was one i read that stated most people who work on wall street are psychopaths. Police officers as well. So i wouldn't be shocked if there's a correlation between wealth and lack of empathy. You have to step on a lot of people to get to the top. Most of us aren't willing to do all that.

It's not just Wall Street, I've read most CEO's have these qualities too

Yep, and Presidents. You can't go all they way up there without being somewhat of a psychopath.

I grew up with a billionaire’s daughter and yeah… these people were different. Her parents were the most unkind human beings I have ever met. When they picked us up from school they didn’t speak to us or look at us. I think the whole family were sociopaths.

That's next level creepy. No 'hi kids, how was your day'? So weird!

Billionaires don't care how your day was unless it's making them money.

Like someone else said, I think you have to lack empathy to accumulate wealth the way these people do.

Wasn’t there a guy who got away with killing someone because they reasoned he was raised so privilege he had some weird syndrome or personality disorder?? Gif I wish I could remember.

Ethan Couch. Affluenza was the term used by a "psychologist" for his defense.

It's okay as long as folks keep demanding us poor people to have empathy for the billionaires, we can balance it out!

I think you need some sort of detachment from humanity/empathy to ascend to such levels of obscene and immoral wealth.

Read The Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson. It talks about how people are officially declared psychopaths and a lot of CEOs fit the traits
